Why using comics to teach and learn English?

As the teacher we often asked by our students to teach them using images, videos or songs. The students more excited when the teacher use image, videos, or songs to teach English rather than reading their coursebook. The unique way to use image as teaching and learning material is using comic. In my point of view, using comic give many advantages for the students. One of the greatest advantages is EFL learners can realize that they may need that particular language in the situations presented in the comics.
This will also work towards increasing students’ motivation. The others advantages are: to Facilitate Vocabulary Acquisition, to Develop Analytical Skills. In addition, you can create your own comic online in http://www.toondoo.com/

The boy played the trick for quite a number of times in the next few days. After some days as the boy, there came an wolf. The boy cried loudly "Wolf, Wolf, The wolf is carrying a lamb away." There was no one to come. The boy shouted "Help! Wolf! Help!" Still no one came to his help. The villagers thought that the boy was playing mischief again. The wolf carried a lamb away.
