WEB-QUEST ACTIVITY


The benefits from Web-quest for students in terms of language learning are:
  1. To encourage students to study systematically and on time.
  2. To encourage the use of computers and technology.
  3. To encourage students in group work or pairs.
  4. Lessons are designed to motivate students by capturing their interest.
  5. Internet sites are pre-selected so students don’t waste time searching.
  6. Makes efficient use of the net.
  7. Students gain their understanding level for thinking to process information.
  8. Processing information helps avoid plagiarism.
  9. Students will do real world research that is current and up-to-date.

According to Dodge, the six building blocks of a WebQuest are:
  1. The Introduction orients students and captures their interest.
  2. The Task describes the activity's end product.
  3. The Process explains strategies students should use to complete the task.
  4. The Resources are the Web sites students will use to complete the task.
  5. The Evaluation measures the results of the activity.
  6. The Conclusion sums up the activity and encourages students to reflect on its process and results.
